You poor people being tortured with our vacation pictures to try to win a contest….lol! Here are vacation pictures from Disney and Chattanooga last Fall.
Although I didn’t take a maternity leave, I did stop taking sessions for a month and that month is up next week with an extra special bride and groom session. Then in October I have a record number of portrait sessions in one month. Wow is all I can say! Thanks to all of you! I am ready to back into the swing of things!
Full Circle Momment for me…

Can I be personal for a moment? This is something I wanted to share for a while but I wasn’t sure how to share it. Back in the spring I called a local foster group home and asked if I could be of service to the kids that live there. We set up a session on a pleasant Sunday afternoon and had a blast with 9 people. The kids and teens were so great. They were down to earth and some were a little shy at first, but once we got started… well, the session turned out to be the highlight of my week! Of course, I can’t show you the pictures from the session, but it was a joy for me to give these wonderful children a gift.
That sounds nice, right? It’s good thing to give back to the community, right? I do service stuff a lot and enjoy it, but this was different for me. I was in foster care for 6 years as a teenager and the group home I photographed was one of the homes I lived in. I remember pictures being so important to me as a teenager. I had frames up everywhere in my room. It was proof I had family and friends. Typically you take pictures when you are happy and the pictures suspend those moments in time forever. Don’t you look at your favorite pictures and smile? That is how important pictures are to me, so to be able give these children and teens something to smile at… let’s just say I’m honored that God gifted me in this way. This was completely a full circle moment. That is why I love my job. I know how important a picture is and to be able to give that to others is a dream to me.
Let me say before I close how great these kids are! They were so polite and SMART! And when I got a real smile from them it would take your breath away. They were just plain fun and I probably took longer on this session than normal because of it!
Thanks to the home and the staff there for allowing me to serve you, it was certainly a pleasure to get to know all of you incredible people.
