21 day fat blast UPDATE

Posted on September 29, 2011

I know that everyone has been on pins and needles waiting on  my update for the 21 day fat blast. :) You might think I have quit because I haven’t posted, but I haven’t. We are still going strong (and sore!). I have only missed a couple of days (Super Fit hasn’t missed ANY! Go girl!!). It has been interesting scheduling my days around the gym. There has been a couple of days that I had to go before the sunrise just to make the work out. Has it been worth it? More than I can say. I went shopping this week for my family’s portraits and since the first of June, I have dropped 6 sizes. (Disclaimer: I think I was wearing WAY too baggy clothes and am now in search for clothes that fit. I think that may have something to do with the 6 sizes but I can’t go back to see if I was really in my top size or not!) I am in the size I was in when Cory and I were married 11 years ago. I still have a long way to go and I think the 21 days at the gym has made me realize that is my new way of life. We still have 4 more days to go!!

So enough serious stuff… now onto the fun…

Can I share with you that Super Fit is an ANIMAL. She has more motivation than I have ever seen. She is the perfect workout partner. She should consider renting out her workout time. Nothing stops her. Check out her legs…. seriously. She makes it look easy.

Even though she makes it looks easy she is one of the most encouraging people I know. Super Fit has been recruiting others to join us. We are going to become a cult. ha!

And here is Poster Child. Funny picture because I am trying to smile so I don’t look bad in the picture. That is what a crazy photographer will do. It was hard to believe I was even doing these. I have a lot of weight I am lifting here (MY OWN!). But I did it. Don’t let your weight stop you guys!

Here is the Zumba teacher that started Super Fit. Donna (AKA Soul Girl!) is so much fun! She keeps us laughing and sweating. You can imagine the look of horror when I told her I was going to take her picture after Zumba. She was a good sport though. I should have added 50 lbs to her since she makes us work so hard but that would be mean. :)

And here is Jason (AKA The Terminator). He has this same smile the entire time we are working out in our class. He is not the yelling whip you into shape kinda guy…. he is much nicer than that…lol. BUT he loves to tell us our exercise and then he SMILES. He knows what he is doing. It is hard to be mad at someone who is so nice, but once I get home at night and I can barely walk… I don’t remember his smile. I can be mad then, right???? OWWWWW.

And meet Bryant (AKA Mr Miyagi, The Karate Kid, Ruthless…. etc etc). He works at the gym and he is mean. He ENJOYS putting extra weight on our reps. He has a very evil laugh. Watch out for him…. but seriously… EVERYONE at the gym is awesome.

I haven’t weighed myself since a couple days after I started. It is killing me not knowing my results but I FEEL different (other than crazy sore). I caught a look in a mirror and I don’t want to run away screaming. Super Fit said I would get addicted to the pain. I guess I am getting there. I am for sure addicted to the results!

Remember how Super Fit is my neighbor…. last week I kept hearing a loud noise from next store. THIS is what Super Fit does between gym work outs. Notice her “I survived the 301 workout” shirt. She spent the entire day pressuring washing THEN went to the gym. I have a love/hate relationship with her. She finished the fence in two days. She didn’t know I was taking this… ha! I love my 70-200 lens. :)

And here is what the Poster Child does between workouts when I am not laid out on the couch in pain or working….I go to the State Fair. I have a long way to go. :)

So we finish up on Monday. I think we will have our results the week after that. Stay tuned!!

Baby Makes 5! – Marion Alabama Newborn Photographer

Posted on September 26, 2011

I met this family years ago and I was beside myself when I heard they were expecting another baby and wanted me to come to their home for a newborn session. Mom told me that she loved the thought of me coming to her because with the other two babies, it just seemed like too much to go to someone after a baby is first born. That is the beautiful part about a newborn session, I come to you and use YOUR home and you are comfortable with everything you need at YOUR home! It is a win- win!!
