21 day fat blast – UPDATE – We are still alive!
Posted on September 17, 2011
Super fit and poster child are at the end of the week of week one! We made it. I have to share that it hasn’t been THAT bad. It has been hard, probably the hardest ever program I have ever signed up for…. but it is doable. I have to share that Jason and all the guys at the gym are awesome! They are encouraging and funny with a lovely bit of sarcasm. The people joining us for the fat blast this month are great too! It is wonderful to have so many people being tortured all together and actually having fun. I have spent more time in the gym this week than I have in 6 months combined. I have done at squats every single day this week….sometimes with weights. Super fit and I were there every day. Only two more weeks to go….
One of the funniest moments of the week… we were lifting weights when we learned one of the exercises we had to lift our entire weight. I said that wasn’t very fair to the fat girl. That is when Super Fit and Poster united and decided we both weighed 80lbs.
The benefit of having a partner through the 21 day fat blast is having someone to complain with… I mean, encourage. Our text message conversations have been hilarious! Here are some of our favorites.
Poster Child: The benefit of being this sore is that I am too sore to go to the fridge.
Super Fit: Are you addicted to the pain yet?
Poster Child: OMgoodness OMgoodness. I actually paid him for this!
Poster Child: OWWWWWWW OWWWWWWWWWWWW advil yes please.
Super Fit: I am complete Jello. I couldn’t even wipe ketchup off my son’s face.
Poster Child: Let’s do it again tomorrow!
Poster Child: Icyhot Works….fyi.
Super Fit: Ironing Hurts…fyi.
Super Fit: Dieting tip #1: watch baby story while you are eating lunch. YUCK!
Poster Child: Celery is the same as potato chips. Really.
Super Fit: I was about to tell you the same thing about baby carrots.
Super Fit: I am staring at my beer thinking about empty calories. I am surprised by how quickly my mentality changed.
Poster Child: How many calories are in a shot of vodka?
No pictures yet! I promise to get some next week!! Will we survive? We are even meeting on Sunday for an hour of weight lifting and an hour of cardio to make up for both missing tomorrow. Should be fun, right?
You HAVE to check out Jason’s Blog at al.com. There is so much valuable info there!! Here he explains what the 301 work out is all about!
Something a little Different! – Hoover Alabama Wedding Photographer

I have been sharing so many family sessions on the blog but now I have something a little different to share! This was my first of many engagement sessions scheduled for this fall. I was so excited to spend the evening with this couple! We ran around some of my favorite spots for an urban look then met later that night on the campus of Samford to play with off camera lighting in the dark. When we were planning the engagement session, this bride said to me… I want you to be creative. Whatever you want to do, just do something that you are having fun with and I will love it! It was awesome and I hope she loves them as much as I do! :) So, what do you think?

On the Family Farm – Marion Alabama Family Portrait Photographer

I met this family 3 years ago for a portrait session. We talked during the session about the beautiful farm house that belonged to the family and how ONE day they would love family portraits at the farm. Yesterday was the one day!!
The weather was perfect, the location even more so! We walked all over the farm giggling with these girls! This was the third session I have had with the girls and every time they leave me laughing. They are so silly! I imagine there are lots of giggling moments in a house with two sisters!
