Family Albums!! – Birmingham Alabama Family Portrait Photographer
Posted on March 15, 2012
Have you ever wanted the perfect gift?? A gift that will last for years and one day you can share with your friends and family and one day show your grandchildren?? Then an album is for you!! The grandmother to these three girls wanted an amazing gift for her amazing daughter. She mentioned that it was hard to find just the right gift for her but she thought an album would be great!!
I have to admit to crying a few tears while building this album. I met this family when the youngest was a newborn and I have been BLESSED to see this family for almost three years. Time is flying and they are growing way too fast!! Every time I see this family I can’t help but smile and giggle. They are so full of life! They have the most beautiful black hair and you can tell they are sisters but they still all three have a unique look. I think one of the best parts of my job is seeing this family grow up!! Love your sweet family and so happy to make this album for your family! I had the HARDEST time keeping this a big secret! Happy Birthday to a fabulous mom!!
Do you want an album for you family? Check out the info here: http://hishandsphotographs.com/pricing/albums-2/ We custom design each album from your session and add any saying, scripture, etc that will make your album one of a kind!!

First Wedding of the Year! – It’s all about LOVE! Birmingham Alabama Wedding Photographer – His Hands Photographs
Posted on March 10, 2012
My goal is to share on the blog every wedding we are a part of this year! It may take me a while but I want share all the details and to see the amazing love stories that we are blessed to see!
This is what the LORD says:
“In the time of my favor I will answer you,
and in the day of salvation I will help you;
I will keep you and will make you
to be a covenant for the people,
to restore the land… Isaiah 49:8
The wedding is all about God’s perfect timing. This couple met years ago, I think the term “Forever ago” was used during the ceremony. When the couple arrived at the altar the pastor said, “FINALLY” to the laughter of the entire church! I met the bride a couple of years ago and we kept in touch via the wonderful world of facebook. When she messaged me to tell me she was engaged she said, “What dates do you have open? We are getting married and there is no other photographer we want there with us!!”. Talk about making us feel good! I gave her everything I had open for the entire year and a date was set 4 weeks from our meeting date!!
When the couple first met, they had a few dates but through some miss communications between the two of them, they went separate ways. God has a way of bringing people right where He needs them at the perfect time, so when this couple found each other again, they knew it was the right time. I am always happy for the couples we serve for photography but this couple is extra special to my heart. I know the history and it makes my heart smile to see two people so in love and see God answer prayers in an amazing way! There wasn’t a dry eye in the house during the ceremony. Standing room only in the church and you could feel the JOY everyone felt at seeing this couple join together in marriage!
Another neat thing about the wedding party, I have photographed just about everyone in the wedding over the years! Two of the bridesmaids came to me for senior photography and the best man, junior groomsmen, and flower girl met me at a family session a couple of years ago! It is a small world!
I love the pictures of them getting ready and the bride with her mom and aunt. The one with Dad seeing her and giving her a hug for the first time makes me want to cry too! I love these of the couple together and the bridal party. JOY JOY JOY!!

Just some of the beautiful details… family and friends came together to decorate and plan a beautiful day for the couple! Winter Wonderland was the theme for this January wedding. Perfect!

The ceremony… my favorite part!! The groom sang to the bride as she walked down the aisle and THE kiss…. well, it doesn’t get any more romantic than a dip at the altar! The couple dance back down the aisle… this is stuff fairy tales are made of!

The wedding reception started with an amazing dance from the bride and groom. The bride told me they had just decided on a choreographed dance days before the wedding! I and every one at the reception were impressed!! (Now I feel the need to take dance lessons with Cory!)

It was such a blessing to be a part of your wedding day, Misty and James! My prayer for you both is many years of happiness and to keep the joy the two of you had on the day I love these of the couple together and the bridal party. JOY JOY JOY!!you were married! Thank you for allowing us to document the start of your marriage!
