Welcome to His Hands Photographs!We're a husband and wife photography team who specialize in weddings and family portraits. I'm Samantha Ferguson and my husband is Cory. We have a son and daughter, Elijah and Sarah, who are the reasons we started photography. We love pictures and we love to see things a little differently. We didn't grow up wanting to be photographers but both fully beleive this is what God made us to do. Please take a little time to read through the blog and get to know us! Contest Time – Birmingham AL Portrait Photographer

I came across this scripture while surfing the internet this morning. I can’t say I read Hosea very often so it struck me as especially beautiful!
Let us acknowledge the Lord;
let us press on to acknowledge him.

I know that is has been so hot around here that thinking about Fall is hard to do, but it will be here before we know it! School starts in a few weeks and our summer will be memories! I am ready!! I love the Fall it is my FAVORITE time of year! I have been pinning Fall recipes and portrait ideas for weeks just hoping to make the season come faster! We will are officially starting homeschool in the Ferguson house next week! We are very excited to be in a routine!
Our Fall calendar is officially OPEN! If you are thinking about scheduling a session with us for Fall portraits and holiday gifts, now is the time, especially if you need a weekend date. Our October weekend calendar is almost full and September still has a few dates open, but those won’t last!! Make sure you have your pick on the perfect date for your session (I know how everyone wants to schedule around football games…). We also announced our Fall Mini sessions for Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. Our Sunday in Tuscaloosa only has ONE spot available and the Birmingham dates are quickly filling up! Also, Cory and I felt like it was time for another contest! August is special for us because both of our babies celebrate birthdays that month. We think YOU should celebrate with us! This contest will have two winners which include a session fee for FREE! I will keep it easy and all you have to do to enter our contest is to comment on the blog. Just tell us why you want a Fall session with His Hands Photographs and who would you like us to photograph. Easy Peasy!

Here is the fine print (Rules!):
Rules:
1. Only 1 entry per person and only a blog comment will count as an entry. You are allowed unlimited entries based on friend referrals. NO FACEBOOK COMMENTS ALLOWED.
2. Session prize is for a session fee ($100 value) . No print credit is included. Orders from your session must be placed within two weeks of the gallery being online.
3. Session must be scheduled and taken by November 15, 2012. No exceptions.
4. Session includes your choice of family, child, high school senior, engagement, maternity, or bridal session. It does not include beach, extended family, or newborn session.
5. Session must take place in Birmingham, Hoover, or the close surrounding areas.
6. Prize is nontransferable.
7. Winners will be chosen at random on August 15th. All entries must be placed before August14th at midnight.

We would love a family session! These girls are growing too fast and pictures help us treasure these memories. I adored the pics from our last session.
I would love to have a photo session of my granddaughter, Anna Tyler. It has been almost 2.5 years since her last session with you. While I adore the beautiful portrait hanging on my wall…she was 18 months at the time…one of her at the age of 4 would be precious to me. Thank you and I enjoy your beautiful work. God bless.

My best friend Tiffany Hyde introduced me to your website. I was so excited about the fall mini-sessions until I saw the dates corresponded with my brother-in-law’s wedding in Ft. Morgan where my two girls will be flower girls. Totally bummed.
My reasoning for wanting a session is three-fold. First, my oldest daughter made her First Communion this year, and I want to have a formal portrait done. Second, my youngest daughter stopped me in the hallway the other night to ask why she didn’t have any “big girl” pictures on the wall. Her last was taken at one year and she’s five. Lastly, my husband wanted pictures to celebrate our ten year anniversary, but with the girl’s tuition, professional photographs seemed like a perk, not a need. I’ve been storing money away, bit by bit, so now I just have to wait and see. I also celebrate an August birthday, like your children, so it would be a great Happy Birthday to me. I have some of your work in my house already from Tiffany, but I would love to have some of my own. Thanks for the consideration.

Hi! I am a photographer myself and it is not often we get family photos taken! We have a 1 month old and a 2.5 year old. We will definitely be needing some family shots in the fall! We would love to win your contest! Love your work!
This summer started off with so much sadness for my family. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer mothers day weekend. We had planned a beach trip for mothers day weekend many months prior. So thankful God took us to a tranquil place to deliver the news. During the month of June, my mother met with doctors, underwent three major surgeries, two full weeks of hospital stay and a month of missed work. After meeting with her oncologist it was determined radiation and chemo would not be required or necessary. Through this time she had a prayer chain that was unstoppable. She received every good news report you can possibly receive while having cancer. Being at the cancer center with her and hearing the dr say you are cancer free was the sweetest words I’ve heard. The smile on my mothers face is what makes my heart smile. A new season will bring new happiness. As the summer begins to close, her three granddaughters are celebrating a birthday this week. Nothing would make my mother smile even bigger than having her grandgirls photographed by you! They are her joy!
I would love a fall session with His Hand Photographs for my reasons! My friend, her husband, and their 3 children were were photographed by His Hands Photographs this time last year and her pictures were phenomenal! I love looking at her portraits when I visit her home (they are hung in almost every room)! I have been a fan on Facebook since last year, always taking a minute to admire your latest work. I would be honored to have such wonderful talent photograph my children (8 year old son and 4 year old daughter). My children and I have had a long summer indoors caring for my infant nephew AND my mother who recently underwent surgery to remove some cancer. Winning this contest would be such a blessing to our family!
