Hello! I’m Samantha Ferguson, my husband and partner photographer is Cory Ferguson, and we’re His Hands Photographs! Our journey into photography isn’t a normal story. Neither of us grew up wanting to be photographers specifically, but now we both believe that this is what God made us to do.

We had been married only a few years when we decided to expand our family only to find out that it wasn’t necessarily easy for us to do so. Thank God that He had other plans on His mind! Shortly after our 5th anniversary we found out that we were expecting our first child, Elijah, and as many parents have done before us we ran out and bought our first DSLR camera. Little did we know that God was about to thrust us into a whole new world with a photography business of our own!

We both have an artistic background.  I worked in graphics arts for Amazon.com through a local Birmingham company and Cory has always had a passion for art since as early as he can remember. The first time I took pictures of Elijah everyone asked, “Who did these?”  That was the point that marked the beginning of our deep love for photography!

Like most people we both had dreams of one day working for ourselves, but never realized how that would take shape until the Lord started sending friends and family our way who wanted us to take pictures of them. Within a few months we officially started His Hands Photographs, and only a year later Cory left his full-time job, against all odds, to join me working at home. It was a dream we never expected to happen and we are so grateful for the position God has placed us in to serve families and couples!  We’re thankful to have met literally hundreds of families for portraits and have been part of dozens of weddings across the country from Florida to California.

We’ve learned a lot in the time that has passed, but feel like we’ve only begun the journey that God has set us on. Through the care we put into each person we’ve come to know every customer we’ve meet, and we’d love to have you be part of our life.
