Loving the eyelashes!

This little guy had the sweetest disposition! We were even able to have three outfit changes and he just seemed to go with the flow. He was wide awake and ready to take in the world through his sweet eyes. I love his long eyelashes! This was a beautiful family and they are so proud of their boy! We tried to schedule this session before Mother’s day and the timing never worked out. A few weeks later and our schedules fit together and we chose a lovely afternoon at the Gardens. The afternoon is my favorite time at the Gardens because of the great lighting and since it was a little cooler than the last few weeks (it was still warm, it is Alabama), it made for perfect timing. God has a way of working those things out!

Wow, what a weekend!

This weekend’s sessions have included dogs, cars, baby bellies, and more! Stay tuned for some fun sessions on the blog in the next few weeks. I had a share two pictures from my session today. This is one of my friends from a message board that I have been apart of since I was pregnant with Elijah. We both have little boys within a few weeks of each other and were so happy to find out we were pregnant again and due within 6 weeks of each other! She loves photography as much as I do so I was SO excited to finally have our session. Today I will share a cute picture of us together and our new little bundles of joy!

A quote from a client!

I received an email from a client yesterday with this quote: “Thank you so much Samantha. I almost feel sorry for you because now you our personal family photographer : >) ! ” Very flattering and it cracked me up! I love my job!

They make me laugh out loud!

This family was a blast. I was trying to get some laughs out of them and told them to tell me a joke and someone commented, we aren’t joke people we just laugh at real stuff. Point well taken! After the warm up, the family would make faces behind my back and poke fun at each other. I love this! This session was on the books for months and even had to be rescheduled at the last minute due to rain but I was so happy to finally meet everyone. They all had spent the weekend at City Stages having a great time but they weren’t tired either. How do I get their energy?

A surprise for Dad!

This is one of the sessions from before Father’s day. Mom wanted to surprise Dad with portraits for his office. This is an extra special session for me because this is my neighbor! I was so excited when we set up a session. Cory and I moved into our house and met her husband when we first moved in but we never had the chance to met her. When I was pregnant with Elijah I noticed my neighbor looked pregnant also. Well, we were both pregnant and both due within days of each other. We both had sweet little boys! What a blessing to have a built in playmate and someone to call to ask all the million questions of being a new mom…. “Is he doing this yet?” haha.
