Worth the wait- Birmingham Portrait and Wedding Photography

We had to reschedule this session twice due to weather, but I think it was totally worth the wait. The temperature was perfect and the location was unique! We decided on a location that could be both city and nature. I love the mural I found. I try to spend some time at a new location walking around finding the best spots. I was in an alley way and almost squealed when I saw it. Then they actually matched the mural when they arrived! I can’t set these things up! I have to say the creek pictures are my favorite. This is such a popular location for me. Everyone seems to want the barefoot in the creek portraits. I absolutely love it! I can’t wait to see this couple for their wedding next month!

A fisherman and an outside princess – Birmingham Children’s Photographer

You have to figure out what kids like to get them talking and opening up to you. For little boys, I go down the list of trucks, tractors, sports, etc. Well, this little guy just lit up when I mentioned fishing. I can just see him fishing with his family because it has to be his favorite thing! Big sister seemed so happy to be outside! They both ran through the gardens in the Alabama wilderness area  looking at wild flowers, squirrels, rocks. The picture of them looking through the bridge is of them looking as a squirrel run around the creek below. Big sister had such good manners and when I asked her where she learned her good manners, she replied mater of factly, “God”. What a smart girl!

Long Time Coming- Birmingham Family Portrait Photographer

Dad was our small group leader long ago before we had Elijah. We lost touch a few years ago, and I am sad to say this is the first time I have seen middle brother and new little sister! I was so excited when mom contacted me for a session. Big brother is such a big help and you can tell he has the sweetest heart towards his baby brother and sister. Little brother looks like Dad and is so independent. I love how he is kissing sister. You have to wonder what she is thinking. :) Little sister has the cutest little Mohawk with adorable curls at the top!!! I mean, what could be cuter than that? As you can tell from the picture of just mom and dad, they are so in love!. I am totally loving the sun-flare and the “almost” kiss between the two of them. I just love how the family is dressed! I love the colors and the cute shoes! Everything is just perfect!

Now my cuties..My mom is cuting the family land for the timber. My son is obsessed with tractors so we had to make a visit to see all the tractors. Then on the way back I saw the perfect spot for a few pictures of Sarah. I was racing against the rain but I am so in love with the hot pink shirt and the beautiful greens… then add my sweet girl and I can’t help but go “awwwwwww” every time I see it!

Thanks to one of my best friends who called me out today. She said, I have been checking and you are behind. :) That is what friends are for!! I am behind on the blog because we are SO busy!! I am getting tons of emails, phone calls, and then I am shooting every day lately! Add in a few fundraisers and weddings and we are rocking over here! So, the blog has fallen behind but I am catching it up tonight… then onto more editing! Love my life!!

I totally love this face! Big brother asked if I would take a picture of him making a silly face. Notice mom and baby sister in the background. I couldn’t set these things up if I tried. So… caption this….
