Her Smile – Birmingham Baby Portrait Photographer

This little girl’s smile just makes me want to smile back. We had her session at 3 months old at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. My favorite picture is the one where she is hanging on mommy’s shoulder and smiling the biggest smile. Smiles aren’t always so easy from this age. For outdoor sessions they are often so amazed by being outside that smiles are not easy to capture. But, when we placed her here she would give me the biggest smile. I almost had a hard time snapping the picture because I just wanted to smile back and talk to her more. And do you see her hair?? Beautiful! She will have tresses that ALL of the girls want when she gets older. It is already so thick! I am slightly jealous since my Sarah does not have this much hair and they are 9 months apart… but anyway… isn’t she just the cutest thing??

After Session in the Woods – Birmingham Wedding Photographer

I love an “after session” ! The wedding and honeymoon is over, the pressure is off, and by the time we get to the after seession, we are old friends! This was the case here too! The wedding went perfectly and the after session was very laid back and fun. We met at Tannehill and I even talked her into the water. Of course, she didn’t want the dress wet, so we improvised. Beautiful bride and beautiful location… makes my job easy. :)

A year later – Birmingham Child Portrait Photographer

I can not believe it has been a year since this little guy was born. On July 4th, 2008 we had our first session. And look how absolutely adorable he is now!! His smile just lights up the room and you can’t help but smile back. Love it! This is another session from downtown… I am loving the urban settings! I have to be extra creative!

9 Month Check up – Alabama Baby Portrait Photographer

You remember the cutie in the blue tu-tu, right? Well, she came back from a quick mini-session to celebrate being 9 months old. I had a blast just focusing on her. Mom is super talented and made her cute little turtle outfit. I am a little jealous because I love smocked clothing and would love to have this talent! She shared with me the story behind choosing the turtle pattern! I love it!

When she was first born, she was really nosy (still is) and she would have
her little head buried on the shoulder of whomever was holding her and
would stretch her little neck out to look up and see what was going on.
Dad nick-named her “turtle” and it stuck…so when I saw that pattern,
it just fit her!

Fresh from the Oven – Hoover, Alabama Newborn Photographer

Dad’s mom surprised this family with a gift certificate for this little man’s birthday! It was neat to hear from them within a week of him being born and to learn we live within 3 miles of each other. They invited me into their home. Newborn sessions are home are always best. We used unexpected places like the office floor, the dinning room table, but also the nursery and the front porch. This makes this session totally unique and extra special to this family. And I just love the results… welcome to the world little man!
