A year later – Birmingham, Alabama Portrait Photography

I was so excited about this session. The couple let me know a few months ago that they wanted to come back to celebrate their first anniversary. We met at Aldridge Gardens because they were married there last year! PERFECT!! We did one picture in the same place they shared their vows and then had a blast walking around the lake looking for beautiful fall color and neat spots. This was such a special session for me because I was able to connect with the couple after what seems like longer than a year. After we give a couple everything they ordered from us, we don’t usually talk to them (except Facebook) until they start a family or another event. So, it was great to just hang out and catch up on what has happened in a year. Plus, they are the most gorgeous couple to photograph too! You really can’t ask for a better afternoon. Happy Anniversary, guys!

Little Details – Birmingham Portrait Photographer

I love the details of little boys. These just made me smile today. They are brother very close in age. You just know they will be the best of friends as they get older. :)

The rain stayed away for us – Birmingham Portrait Photography

This session was on pins and needles all day. It was sunny all day but the forecast said it was coming. We moved the session up a little just to make sure and it start raining on my way to the gardens!! But it was overcast (perfect portrait weather!!) and humid and NOT raining long enough for our session.

These kids were so much fun. I have had so many babies lately, that it was great to hand out with them. I think they have had their pictures taken a few times because they were very eager to give me the best smiles. I have some funny outtakes too that I plan to share in the next few weeks.

I KNOW the blog is behind…. but at the end of the night I have to edit and answer emails and for right now I am running out of time… so the blog is last on the list. But I Have SOOO much content to share with you guys. Just wait… I plan to spend a night just posting on the blog very soon! (Check out the facebook page too… I upload more there than on the blog !)

P.S. When setting up what I call the “path” picture, dad said come on, we have “wizard of oz”. :) That cracked me up. I told him I think I was going to change the name…hahaha!

How do they grow so fast? – Birmingham Portrait Photographer

his hands photographsThese sweet boys belong to my dear friend. We don’t get to see each other often so I am always surprised how much our children have grown. You will see Elijah and Sarah in two of these. I am surprised we got them all looking the same direction!
