And one from our After Session this weekend…. who would have thought a wedding in January would look like this??

I haven’t made a slideshow in the longest time and I thought I would make one for this wedding. I need to make more in the next coming weeks. It is such a beautiful way to showcase a wedding day. This couple had a beautiful wedding and then finished the reception with a sunset night on the lake. It was the perfect fall day! More later….

Ok, I LOVE it when I get a call from someone that wants something different. I love to stretch my creative mind and I love it when someone is just as excited about a session as I am. This senior is totally awesome. Her mom called and told me that wanted something completely DIFFERENT for her portrait session. She wanted to use her camera in a few shots and she had a beautiful Vera Wang dress and she wanted to get into the creek and have some fun. I was totally game!!

I won’t count it against her that she is a nikon girl. We talked about what she liked about photography and she told me she likes to take pictures of things that no one else would…. LOVE IT! Mom says she will get down on the ground and really work for the perfect angle. She is totally my kinda gal!

By the end of the session the dress was TRASHED but look at the results!!! I think she might start a new trend! (By the way, my totally clumsy self fell into the creek right with her! It was worth it!)

So, tomorrow is my (Sam) 30th birthday and Monday is Cory’s 33rd. We love July around here and we thought the best way to celebrate our birthday is to give someone a prize… and since it is such a significant birthday for me, we are giving away the farm! Every time we put one of these albums together I want to keep it for myself! It is something that will last for years to come. Imagine flipping through this when your kids are teenagers and telling them about their first family session, the three year old portraits, or your wedding. This couple was married at the Sonnet House and the weather was just amazing for June. It was below normal temperature wise and that was surprising for a June wedding but it was perfect for the wedding! This couple spent the whole day working hard to be ready for the ceremony. Once the ceremony started and the bride and groom were together, you could just tell how happy they BOTH were to be together for the rest of the night. The party was really rocking! The couple have the country band Deputy 5at the reception.  These guys were great and really set a fun tone for the entire night. Everyone was dancing, even those in their seats where tapping their toes and singing. Everyone was having a blast celebrating this incredible couple! Thanks S and B for such a beautiful day, we had fun meeting your friends and family!
