My girl again – Birmingham Portrait Photographer

Ok, you are probably wondering just how many outfits I plan to take of my sweet girl for her 6 month portraits but this dress is special. Her Pop bought it for her. You might think that isn’t special but if you knew Pop you would understand. He didn’t know what to think when he learned we were having a girl. He didn’t know what to do with a girl. But, two weeks ago while spending the afternoon together, he bought her this dress. It is the prettiest dress, isn’t it? I can just picture him in the store looking over all the choices for little girl dresses and this is the one he chose. I love it, don’t you? The blue brings out her eyes and the flowers are just adorable! So here are a few of my favorites. I promise, no more 6 month portraits of my daughter! She will be 9 months before I know it.. then I can start all over again with portraits. :)

Spring Mini-Session Date – Birmingham Portrait Photographer

You have asked for it and now I am announcing the spring mini-session date. This is perfect for previous clients that just want a few spring portraits or for new families that want to “try us out” for the first time. In these economic times, the mini-session is the perfect alternative to a full session. During our session, we will spend 15 minutes in the Birmingham Botanical Gardens while I capture your family or children in their spring best!

When: March 28th

Where: Birmingham Botanical Gardens

Session Times Start: 10:30 am

Cost: $50 and includes a complimentary 8×10 (additional prints available at our discounted al a carte prices!)

The session lasts 15 minutes and includes up to 3 people (additional people at $5 each).

These will book up fast and right now this is the only date I plan to offer mini-sessions! So, book now… don’t delay… I mean it… really… go now… I will wait. Oh you need my email: sam@hishandsphotographs.com 205-862-3374.

Here is a picture Cory snapped while Sarah was enjoying “naked” time. This girl loves to lay on the floor in just her diaper. The other picture is of Elijah’s foot. I realized it had been too long since I took a picture of his sweet little foot!

The year in review…sort of…

I started compiling a year in review for a slideshow to share with everyone a month ago. A month later and I still haven’t added all the families and brides from the year! What an amazing year it has been! I look at all these families and I can’t help but tear up thinking of all the wonderful people I have met this year. If I missed you in the slideshow please forgive me! If I keep working on this slideshow, I will never get it up on the blog.

Every single picture on here means something to me and that is why I want to share it with you. I am once again humbled that this is our job and we are a part of all of the lives here even if for a short time. Thank you for allowing us to live our dream…..I can’t even imagine what exciting things 2009 will bring. I trust that God has big plans and I just let Him drive. And now….. sit back and press play!

PS. We also updated all of our galleries on both the portrait and wedding website. There are so many pictures on the site that I never blogged! Stay tuned for some exciting news to be released this week!!

Elijah’s Basket!
He is so cute!
How many eggs can I hold?
I can hide the eggs too!
The adults can find the eggs….lol.
I fought working on our family Easter pictures for three days and I couldn’t take it anymore! Here are a few from the day. We had so much fun and are so thankful for the reason to celebrate. The day isn’t just about family and eggs, but about our Saviour no longer being dead. We celebrate because He is no longer in the tomb, He lives! I promise the next post with be some of the great portraits I have been promising!
