Joy and Excitement! – Birmingham Alabama High School Senior Photographer
Posted on February 17, 2012
I meet the most amazing teens in my job! When her mom contacted for senior portraits she shared with me how talented her daughter is!! She is an incredible pianist AND an artist! We were trying to come up with a great place with a grand piano to showcase her talent, and we decided on the Tutwiler Hotel downtown! I was so excited for this session and spent days pouring over senior portraits to best showcase her talent and beauty! What I wasn’t prepared for was how amazing this teen is in person! She is so full of joy and excitement. You can not help but be excited for where God will be leading her in the coming years! Her smile is contagious and hearing her plans for her future make you want to get to know her more! This young lady is going places!!
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Philippians 4:4
When looking fora scripture that reminded me of this amazing young woman, I found the one above! She is for sure full of joy from the Lord! I was also drawn to the verse below! She is about to start on an incredible journey in the coming years and I can’t think of better verses that could describe her future!
Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.
For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Isaiah 43:1-3

I love this time of year. The trees are alive with colors, the air is crisp. Even a normal wooded path becomes picturesque with the bright yellows, reds, and oranges. I feel like I am living at warp speed and my family is moving and growing so fast, how is it already November?? I want to slow down a little more this fall and appreciate where God has me right now. It seems like yesterday it was my 5 year old’s first fall and now I am teaching him about fall for his kindergarten home school. I am so thankful and grateful for my life as it is right now and I bet you feel the same way. Would we change a few things if we could? Sure, but I want to be in the habit of being content and so grateful to be standing right where I am.
It has been a while since we have had a contest so I wanted to share some love AND hear why you are thankful for where God has you right now.

And a quick picture of something I am thankful for…. I am blessed with a couple of really great friends. Some I have known longer than others but still great friends. My friends are like family to me. This picture makes me so happy and grateful for my friendship with one of my best friends. Here we are at the pumpkin patch. I am blessed to say I have held each of these children within weeks of their birth (most sooner). I have seen them grow and become the most amazing kids. They are all the best of friends just because their moms are friends. I am so very grateful for her friendship.
I could go on and on about what she means to me.

I will share more this month about what I am thankful for and share more stories from you! Now go and enter… now!
Baby Makes 5! – Marion Alabama Newborn Photographer

I met this family years ago and I was beside myself when I heard they were expecting another baby and wanted me to come to their home for a newborn session. Mom told me that she loved the thought of me coming to her because with the other two babies, it just seemed like too much to go to someone after a baby is first born. That is the beautiful part about a newborn session, I come to you and use YOUR home and you are comfortable with everything you need at YOUR home! It is a win- win!!
