Something a little Different! – Hoover Alabama Wedding Photographer

I have been sharing so many family sessions on the blog but now I have something a little different to share! This was my first of many engagement sessions scheduled for this fall. I was so excited to spend the evening with this couple! We ran around some of my favorite spots for an urban look then met later that night on the campus of Samford to play with off camera lighting in the dark. When we were planning the engagement session, this bride said to me… I want you to be creative. Whatever you want to do, just do something that you are having fun with and I will love it! It was awesome and I hope she loves them as much as I do! :) So, what do you think?

I met this family when big sister was the flower girl in her uncle’ s wedding in July. I am going to admit, I was nervous. I heard she was the same age as my daughter and I know my daughter would be a hand full at a wedding. But I had nothing to worry about! This little Miss was the perfect flower girl. She took such great care in spreading the flowers as she went down the isle. Adorable!! I will check if she is available for hire….ha!!
So when Mom said she wanted to book a portrait session…. I was beyond excited!! I knew we would have a blast and I would also have some time with little sister. Isn’t she adorable??? She was all smiles unless we put her in the grass. Evidently, she is a city girl.
I had the best time walking around Samford and getting to know this family!

I am asked all the time…. what should we wear? I know how hard it is to pick the perfect outfit for everyone. Let me help!! I have been telling families and couples when asked what to wear….. they should bring EVERYTHING YOU OWN to the session…. Well, not really but the point is to bring several outfits (3 – 4 ) each person and let me put a look together for you right before your session. You might think how in the world am I going to find 3 -4 outfits when I can’t even pick out one??? It is easy, you don’t have to buy anything, just use what you already love. The outfits that you are going to remember when your kids grow up. OR pick out a couple special outfits that you love and bring some of your old favorites and I will do all the work. This is what mom did here! She brought lots of clothes that she would love to see her girls in and we put together a couple of looks for our location. I even had a couple of props that went perfectly. The clothing is Southern, Classic, and Beautiful! This is a look that I know so many families are looking for!! Mom did a great job picking out my choices too. The colors are great!! I had a blast with these two princesses! It was hot… but they were both so sweet!!
