Something a little Different! – Hoover Alabama Wedding Photographer

Posted on September 15, 2011

I have been sharing so many family sessions on the blog but now I have something a little different to share! This was my first of many engagement sessions scheduled for this fall. I was so excited to spend the evening with this couple! We ran around some of my favorite spots for an urban look then met later that night on the campus of Samford to play with off camera lighting in the dark. When we were planning the engagement session, this bride said to me… I want you to be creative. Whatever you want to do, just do something that you are having fun with and I will love it! It was awesome and I hope she loves them as much as I do!  :) So, what do you think?

Flower Girl for a day, Princess forever – Birmingham Alabama Child Photographer

Posted on September 5, 2011

I met this family when big sister was the flower girl in her uncle’ s wedding in July. I am going to admit, I was nervous. I heard she was the same age as my daughter and I know my daughter would be a hand full at a wedding. But I had nothing to worry about! This little Miss was the perfect flower girl. She took such great care in spreading the flowers as she went down the isle. Adorable!! I will check if she is available for hire….ha!!

So when Mom said she wanted to book a portrait session…. I was beyond excited!! I knew we would have a blast and I would also have some time with little sister. Isn’t she adorable??? She was all smiles unless we put her in the grass. Evidently, she is a city girl. :) I had the best time walking around Samford and getting to know this family!
