Rain can't keep us down! – Birmingham Alabama Child Photographer

I am trying to blog more. I won’t promise that I will blog every family, but I am trying!! Your job??? Comment more to encourage that people are reading… I know you are reading… I know my web stats. You are just quiet unless I am hosting a contest!

Coming up to this session, the weatherman told us we would have NO rain. None… not a chance of rain in the forecast. I have learned you can never trust a weatherman. This was an early morning session to avoid the heat and when I woke up that morning is was “misty” but I thought for sure it would clear up by the time the session started. I walked out the door and the rain started…. and then it rained harder. Part of me is freaking out a little. I am an outdoor photographer with an expensive camera that doesn’t like the rain. I called mom and told her we could either switch locations or reschedule. Mom took off work to make the session so we decided to shoot in the hallways of Samford. Samford is great for this! The hallways are just as beautiful as being outside and it gives us protection from the rain.

This little princess was ready for her model debut regardless of the weather. She has such a beautiful smile and her cute little hat… adorable but she will hate mom for it one day. We ended with the tutu…. she wasn’t a fan…. but we managed to get a few with a sweet look. My favorite from the session is the one of her crying. I know it sounds weird… but I love to snap a picture of crying because we all want to remember how stinking cute they are when they are pitching a fit! Love it!

Doll Face- Birmingham Baby Photographer

Her sweet face reminds me of a doll! She has the most perfect features, dreamy! I met mom at a wedding a few months ago. The bride at the wedding and a friend went in together for a certificate as a baby gift! I was so excited to meet this sweet baby!!

The Voices of WDJC – Birmingham Alabama Photographer

Back in July, I was asked to photograph the voices of WDJC 93.7 for the August issue of Birmingham Christian Family. I was so honored to be a part of both of these organizations. Our family listens to WDJC all the time and I always read the magazine every month. We are also excited to photograph a cover of a magazine. We met on a REALLY hot day and did a quick session with all of the guys from the radio station. They have got to be some of the funniest and most down to earth people I have ever met! Make sure you listen to the station and pick up a copy of the magazine this month and tell me what you think!
