I am so excited to share this engagement with our blog readers. When I met with this couple to talk about the wedding day and engagement session I love hearing their story about how they met and fell in love. We were talking about ideas for the engagement session when I suggested we met up at several of the significant places in there relationship. I had the best time on the most perfect day weather wise running around the city!
Here is their story…
Boy meets girl. (Hoover High School where they met)
Boy and girl go on first date… (First Date at New York Pizza in Homewood)
Boy and girl fall in love… (Star Lake where they spent many dates!)
Boy asks his girl to marry him! (At Moss Rock Preserve where he asked her to marry him!)
Boy will marry girl… (The couple will host a reception for friends and family at Vulcan after they marry at the brides home church!)
Love it!! Here are a few more from our stops around town!

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Romans 12: 9
We love all of our couples that decide we are a good fit to photograph their wedding. It is an incredible responsibility to document a wedding. This is a once in a lifetime event. I know weddings happen all the time but every single wedding we attend…. we remember each couple. I love knowing the story of how you met, how he asked you to marry him, I love hearing about your choices, who your bridal party is and WHY. Every single detail in important to me. When I met with this couple, I knew I wanted to be a part of their wedding. We usually do not take two weddings in a weekend but after meeting with them and hearing their story, I wanted to document it. They are so in love. When I met with them the first of the year, the groom was preparing to leave for boot camp to become a Marine. He would be leaving in the coming weeks and was helping his bride with every single detail he could help with before he went off to boot camp. We met, talking over the wedding and they decided at our meeting that we were the photographer for them! I think I was just as excited as they were!! We booked the engagement session days before he left for boot camp. During the months he was in boot camp, they wrote letters back and forth. He graduated just days before the wedding! She went to pick him, take him home, then the wedding weekend started!! You just FEEL the love when you are close to them. The entire day was relaxed and fun!
One of the best parts of the day is the 45 mins alone with had with the couple. The bride decided she wanted extra portraits of them as a couple so we schedule an extra 45 mins together before the bridal party portraits just for the two of them. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the images from that time!! What a wonderful legacy of portraits to display in their home and to show to their children one day!

Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
The scripture above what painted on a sign outside the reception of this lovely wedding. Isn’t that a nice scripture to start your wedded life together? We spent last Saturday with this couple! I love all the details of the day… she carried her grandmother’s bible, the decorations were from different grandparents, burlap, lace, beautiful flowers, etc etc! The day was absolutely perfect with so many amazing details!! I am honored to share with you!
